Are you
Raised and Seated?
But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us,
even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus …
Ephesians 2:4-6
Purpose. Passion. Promise.
Three words. Same number of letters. Depth in their meaning. The thing is, not one of us could ever truly understand any of them without Jesus. Aside from Him, they’re just “P” words. In this introduction video, we hope to share a piece of our heart with you, the one that He causes to beat each day. Our aim is to share The Promise that we pursue, The Passion we run with, and The Purpose for the chase.
The Purpose
*To keep God, our Father, glorified.
*To keep Jesus, our Redeemer, treasured.
*To keep Holy Spirit, our Comforter, embraced.
*To be a part of the conversations turning at His table --- because here, they should just be "different."
*To make The Holy Bible so EXCITING that no one can walk away feeling nothing.
*To love the beautiful truth "There's just a better way to do Jesus."
*To be someone willing ~ someone that He can continuously change, grow, and send out into the world.
* To be a part of the Body of Christ painting Jesus "correctly" to the world.
*To help a lost world understand the everlasting love of FatherGod, and His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
*To help unbelievers want Jesus as their Savior.
*To join other believers who have made the daily choice to keep Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.
*To stand with Jesus in lifting up a standard against the enemy - exposing all lies, manipulations, and strategies of the evil one, overcoming him by the Word of our Testimony and the Blood of Jesus.
The Passion
*To strive to do the full will of God the Father, glorifying Him alone always.
*To follow Jesus Christ as The Example, according to the Bible, which is The Word of God.
*To witness Holy Ghost at work inside us, and in the world around us.
*To guide all people to the true understanding who Jesus Christ is, and our need for a Savior and Righteous Lord.
* To be diligent in building our own relationship with Jesus, keeping the hunger for a daily walk with Him.
*To be watching and listening at all times for lessons He will want to teach us through others. (We are ALWAYS students, ever learning!)
The Promise
* We will not take this for granted, and will strive to make our calling and election sure, according to 2 Peter 1:10.
* We understand the full weight of His assignment, and will work hard to walk with God daily. We are at a loss for words to describe Him ~ but will always do our best to tell the world what He means to us.
* We will not give up. We commit to see the vision through to the best of our ability.
*We promise to continue to "COUNT THE COST." We know how the world will treat us as time draws closer for the end of "this" and the beginning of "that." We promise to keep telling the world about JESUS, no matter what you call us.
*We will continuously "stir up the gift" (2 Timothy 1:6) because Teaching is a verb.
* Every word that flows from our mouth should answer the question "Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?" (John 1:46 kjv)
*We will not treat God as an emergency option rather than Lord of our lives.
*We promise to never apologize for being Biblical. Jesus never did.
*We promise to remember we don't know everything.
*We understand some things are just none of our business ~ so we will stay right out of that. 🙂
*NO JUDGEMENTS HERE! We are about as messed up as they come.
*We promise to ALWAYS be watching for those hallelujahs He works around us.
*We will keep our EYE watching, and our EAR listening at all times. If He speaks a Word, we don't want to miss it!
*We will do our best to keep trying to understand all this heartache and pain. Maybe if we do, we will know the way out when He sends us back in for someone else.
*With Holy Spirit's help, we promise to tell the world about the light of Jesus Christ. He alone is the Hope of the world that cancels out evil's darkness.
*We promise to thank Him daily for never giving up on us! He has been using imperfect people from the beginning, after all.
*We promise not to tell you that you have to ~ can you promise not to tell us that we can't?
People walk out who they believe themselves to be. Thing is, He offered each of us a life free from the cage. His grace says it's ok to be worried. He doesn't run when we make mistakes. He never expects us to figure it out on our own. God sees us as the story He can't wait to tell, the one that hasn't happened yet. No matter who we are, what bad habits we have, the color of our skin, or even what country we are from, He wants us here. There is a bold and brazen Jesus who died and rose again to leave us a fortune. He specializes in grimy situations and rumpled chaos. He beckons now,
"Come. I saved you a Mercy Seat."
