about us
When God rescued our story and brought us together, we knew this was bigger than us. The beginning pages were challenging, but all the while God was calling and refining. The more we sought Him, the more we thirsted. Finally, parched and starving to serve Him, we began to understand His plan. As we leaned in, He unveiled the vision. It couldn’t have come at a worse time … or a better one.
Economic crisis, a world-wide pandemic, children in masks, and closed church doors will stop you in your tracks. The current condition of our world causes one to stand up, pay attention, and listen more closely. It makes you reconsider your own life’s priorities. Suddenly every decision, and every change that arises, brings everything under a microscope. The burden of eternity grew wider, deeper, and more urgent for us. Surely there was something that we could do.
Please understand that we are just two really imperfect people. Though we are willing, we are messy, complicated, and a little weird. We come with so many questions. All we know is somehow God saw every one of us fit to carry something on the inside that was even more beautiful in pieces. Our love for the sacrificial Lamb, Jesus, drives everything we do. From the Bible we devour, to the squeal at the growth on a much-loved plant, we delight in knowing both are as God-breathed as the other.
We are regular people just like you. There are things we like, and things we don’t. We are here in this great big universe, working our way to the other side of eternity, just like everybody else. We don’t know it all. God has blessed us with a bountiful Family and a Fuller Quiver. You can find us scouring thrift store shelves searching for Bible Studies, or jumping for joy over brand new post-it-notes. We put our clothes on the same way you do, sometimes spill our coffee, and often stumble in the dance. We have every kind of story imaginable. Some pages are wildly glorious. Other were ugly, tear stained, and harshly wrecked. Through the years we have learned alot, mostly through our own mistakes. Honestly, we just know we cant make it through the day without Jesus.
And so, we are doing our best to step up to the plate. We ache to pick up the towel, build Him a seat, welcome His Presence and see His Glory stay. The goal is to shift the focus from the problem to The Problem Solver. We seek to think outside the box, yet line up every outlook with the will of The Father. We dream of a world where all human dignity is protected, but know He warned us of times such as these. We hunger to see an end to obsessing over petty things, and to give God’s enemy (and ours) every exposure and blow we can.
May we go all in for Jesus, get our boots dirty, and immerse ourselves in a righteous sea. We were not saved to be silent. How we long to see a lost soul saved, a wanderer find his way Home, or a “Whosoever Will” become a disciple! There is a Savior who left The Light on, and He wants to change all of us into better people ~ now and for the generations coming after us. Most of all, we just want to feast on the only Words which matter. HIS.
