Tuesday Tip

If we read the Bible, and believe it, we know that the world is spiraling towards destruction. God gave us warning in the Old Testament writers through Prophecy. Jesus gave us warning while He walked the Earth. Anyone can look at the news or the world around us today, and see these things coming to pass. Because of this, we were led to add this page to this website to help prepare all of us for what is on the horizon. Please prayerfully consider these Tips.

Tip #9

Friends and Family,  One word of advice here is simply this:

“Don’t get overwhelmed!” Start where you are. Not everyone is in the same circumstances in life. Not everyone reading this lives inside the United States. Some have only one pair of shoes. Some have none. As shocking as that may be, it’s true. So, with that being said, do what you can to prepare, as you can.  Find someone that lived through the Great Depression, talk to them about how they survived and glean as much advice, knowledge and tips from them as you can.  There are many things that have multiple uses. Old worn out or damaged tires can be used to repair the bottoms of shoes or boots, and they can also be used to fuel a fire and keep you warm or cook with. Buying one extra bag of dried beans in a month is a good start. Thrift stores sometimes give away boxes of books that can be repurposed for anything from toilet paper, to fire fuel to cook and heat with. In an afternoon, free wood can be gathered and collected for later use.  Remember, “START WHERE YOU ARE.”  The key is TO START!

Tip #8

If storing drinking water for longer than 6 months in a sealed container, it is a good idea to check your water to make sure  it’s still good to use. Over time, bacteria, algae, or other pathogens, can grow in your water, making it hazardous to drink or to wash in. Contaminated water can cause serious health risks; such as gastrointestinal illness, skin irritation, rashes, ear infections, and even more serious diseases.  When checking your stored water, look to be sure there is no cloudy or murky appearance, as discolored or murky water  can be a sign of growing bacteria or other pollutants.  Green Algae growing inside the containers indicate an overgrowth of microorganisms, which can contaminate the water. Also, look for “floaties,” or anything floating in the water, which usually indicates bacteria growth. Finally, once the water is opened for use, be sure to check the smell of the water. If the water appears clear, but has a strange smell, it is a good idea to boil the water before using it as a precaution.

Tip #7

Due to the condition and circumstances of the world today …

Collect back-up batteries for radios, flashlights, LED lights, cooling fans, communication devices, etc… If possible collect/ build an alternative power supply that will enable you to live off the grid for a minimum of 6 months. The power grids in this country are a weak link and are vulnerable to cyber/ physical attacks. This could lead to long term power outages and could drastically affect food storage.

Tip #6

With the world changing quickly and global financial systems creating their own currencies, the US is quickly loosing it’s position as the foundational currency for the entire world. This means that an economic collapse could be imminent for the US. If that were to happen, a bartering system would eventually take the place of money. Salt and Sugar have traditionally been items that have been used for everything, from medicine, to curing meat, to flavoring food. These items and items like them would be excellent to have on hand for personal use and bartering for other goods and services.

Tip #5

Due to the condition and circumstances of the world today …

Collect some useful medical supplies to keep in an old backpack or duffel bag. Items such as: Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Antacids, Benadryl, Claritin, Pepto-Bismol, Imodium AD, Robitussin, Mucinex, Laxatives, Sleep Aids, Saline Spray, Saline Bottle, Mineral Oil, Epsom’s Salts, Bacitracin, Neosporin, Calamine Lotion, Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Witch Hazel, Contact Lens Solution, Aloe Vera, Metamucil (Fiber), Pedialyte, Mag Citrate, Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Multi-Vitamin, Band-Aid’s, Adhesive Tape, Elastic wrap, Bandage strips and “butterfly” bandages in assorted sizes, Super Glue, Rubber Tourniquet or 16 French Catheter, Petroleum Jelly, Instant Cold Packs, Hot Hands warming packs, Sterile bandages, Roll of gauze, box of medical gloves, plastic bags (for waste disposal), safety pins, needles, thread, scissors, tweezers, Thermometer, Turkey Baster, Turkey Injector, N95 Facial Mask, and Duct Tape. Also, any prescribed medications that you or your family might be taking should be included.

Tip #4

Due to the condition and circumstances of the world today …

Make sure that you have what you need to start a fire to cook with and keep you warm. It would be a good idea to even research and practice starting a fire with no matches or lighter in case you were to lose everything.

Tip #3

Due to the condition and circumstances of the world today …

Concentrate more efforts in getting The Word of God hidden down in your heart. If possible, store an extra Bible with your emergency food storage supplies. (Bibles are usually free at Thrift Stores)

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
